About Us

History of Executive Group

In May of 2007, Executive Group was founded as a two-man operation installing millwork. From there, the company quickly grew to over 30 employees by the end of 2009; handling millwork and FF&E installations up and down the entire east coast.

In 2010, Executive Group was able to expand from field services to their first 30,000 square foot warehouse; which included a 5,000 square foot millwork shop. By April 2014, the millwork shop had grown and moved to a 20,000 square foot shop in Amsterdam, NY. Shortly thereafter, Executive Group acquired their first company owned 330,000 square foot facility in Amsterdam, firmly planting their flag in the Capital Region, allowing Executive Group to service clients all over the Northeast corridor.

In 2020, Executive Group has grown to nearly 1,000,000 square feet of company owned warehouse and manufacturing facilities. With the manufacturing facility becoming a state-of-the-art factory. Today, Executive Group has more than 150 of the finest employees servicing the hospitality industry.

Meet Our Team

Lance Orcutt

Founder/President
Lance has been an entrepreneur from the start. At the age of 13, he started his own car detailing and ice delivery business in his hometown of Gloversville, NY. During his Junior and Senior years of high school he attended a trades program, Votech, concentrating in finish carpentry. It was there where Lance found his true calling, seeing value in starting his own millwork shop in Amsterdam, NY. Today, Executive Group has over 50 men working in the shop under Lance's direction. When not at work, Lance can be found with his family on the Saratoga Lake or on the Golf course with friends.

Clark Hutchins

Millwork Project Manager
Clark joined Executive Group in 2018 as Millwork Project Manager, bringing 45 years of experience into the growing operation with a focus on high-end, custom-made millwork. Prior to joining Executive Group, Clark ran his own millwork company, Hutchins Woodworks. He previously managed the architectural and solid surface divisions of Universal Custom Millwork Inc. When not at work, Clark can be found spending time with his wife and two sons or tinkering in his garage on his custom 1965 Ford Mustang and 1951 Lincoln.

Maria Zubieta

Controller
Maria started with Executive Group back in 2012. Just like all companies do in the early years, Maria did a little bit of everything; from OSHA compliance, website development/IT, human resources, insurances, administrative duties, and billing. In January of 2019, Maria accepted the Controller position overseeing different departments at Executive Group. Maria grew up in Miami, FL then moved to Orlando, FL to attended the University of Central Florida – Go Knights! When Maria’s not at work she is enjoying horse track season near her home in Saratoga Springs with her family.

Peter Conyne

President • Executive Electric
Peter joined Executive Group in 2017 as an electrician. While working for Executive Group he managed to secure his master electrical license. Before joining Executive Group, Pete worked for 20 years as a lead foreman on large commercial and industrial job sites. When not at work you can find Pete doing electrical work, enjoying time skiing or spending time at the lake with his wife and 3 children.

Byron Lopez

Supervisor
Byron joined the Executive Group team back in 2014 as an apprentice. A few years later he was promoted to Foreman. Throughout the years, Byron has acquired high-end finish carpentry skills. Now with more than 20 millwork jobs under his belt, Byron is our lead millwork installer on jobs all over the North East. When not at work, Byron enjoys watching soccer games with friends, eating out and going along the Long Island Sound.

Victor Estrada

Supervisor
Victor has been with Executive Group since 2009. Much like most of our field supervisors, Victor worked his way to the top through work ethic and strong leadership skills. He started as a delivery foreman, then moved to installation and now runs our crews on some of the most high-profile jobs in and around New York City. With over 10,000 rooms under his belt, it’s no surprise customers request Victor on many of their installations. When Victor is not at work, you can find him at home with his wife and their dog Cookie.

Vincent Maldonado

Project Manager
Vincent joined Executive Group in May of 2019. He comes to the company with years of experience from Carver and Associates as an Assistant Purchasing Agent. He recently relocated to New York from Atlanta, but he feels as if he has always been a New Yorker at heart. In his short time, Vincent has proved to be a key member of our field team providing customers a superior understanding of what has been accomplished in the field. While he may be an excel wizard, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty either. When not at work, Vincent enjoys playing guitar, reading and taking in all New York City has to offer.
